Medical imaging and image computing research is now experiencing a symbiotic acceleration with rapid advancement in machine learning algorithms and computing architectures leading to transformative new capabilities. We are finally able to realize the long-standing demand of systems that can autonomously interpret complex visual appearances in multi-modal images to redefine human experience of augmented reality, predictive systems and patient comfort-centric medicine. We combine fields of machine learning, medical imaging and visualization for advancing state of art to achieving these futuristic experiences.
